The Calgary Flames earned their third straight victory when they defeated the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday, 3-0. Calgary has earned points in five straight games (3-0-2), including earning points in three straight games on the road. The Flames are 6-8-4 on the road and are in fourth place in the Pacific.

It was a spectacular performance for Jacob Markstrom, who stopped all 25 shots he faced. Markstrom has been spectacular since returning from injured reserve, stopping 59 of the 60 shots he has faced, giving his team victories in both of those contests. That is a big shot in the arm for this club, as Calgary is 19th in goals allowed per game (3.21).

The Flames scored a goal in each period and were led by Elias Lindholm who had a goal and two assists. Lindholm has six points over his last five games, including five assists and is second on the Flames in total points with 23. Calgary needs all the offensive production they can get, as they are 22nd in goals per game (3.00) and have the third-worst power-play overall (11.5%).
