Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season ends with an exciting AFC East division battle. New York Jets fans have high hopes for their team's offense as they welcome Aaron Rodgers under center. The addition of the longtime Packers quarterback will hopefully allow the team to keep pace with the likes of Josh Allen, Rodgers' Week 1 opponent.
Very few changes were made to the Buffalo Bills' roster over the offseason. The division champions did move on from running back Devin Singletary on offense. They also added feared defensive end Leonard Floyd to their ranks. Buffalo went 13-3 in 2022, but the team was unable to get past the Bengals in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Second-year back James Cook now assumes the lead-back role in Buffalo with the departure of Devin Singletary during free agency. Cook averaged 31.7 yards per game in 2022 while sharing the backfield with Singletary. However, he did produce two games when the veteran exceeded this prop total. The backup also logged six outings with at least 35 yards, half of this total.
Another second-year back finds himself on top of the depth chart for his team as Breece Hall makes his return to the active roster. Hall ecl ipsed this mark in his final four games of 2022 before suffering a season-ending injury. Both Michael Carter and Zonovan Knight topped the 70-yard mark against the Bills for New York in 2022.
Both of these running backs need to share the backfield with more established tailbacks. Hall must now contend with Dalvin Cook cutting into his workload, while Cook is dealing with former Patriots back Damien Harris waiting in the wings. But both backs still face an above-average chance to get the 35 yards apiece to cash this prop.
Last season, Jordan Poyer registered at least five combined tackles in eight of his 12 games. He cleared this mark in solo tackles alone during two of his outings. Poyer has appeared in 13 games against the Jets and logged five-plus total tackles in seven. That includes three of his last four meetings.
The Jets attempted 36.9 passes per game in 2022, which ranked th em seventh in the league. That number could decrease somewhat since Aaron Rodgers attempted just over 31 passes per contest with Green Bay in 2022. However, Poyer will still play a large role in bringing down the Jets receivers when they do catch the ball.

New York aims to help its new quarterback with the addition of Allen Lazard, whom Rodgers threw to in Green Bay. Lazard led the Packers during 2022 in both targets (100) and receptions (60). He caught at least four passes in 11 of 15 games during 2022.
Both Wilson and Elijah Moore snagged six receptions during their final game against Buffal o. Lazard will likely slot in as the number two receiver behind Wilson. However, his familiarity with Rodgers will set him up nicely for a couple of extra targets when things break down in the pocket.
