NFL Round Table Show

Wyoming Cowboys (7-4) vs. Fresno State Bulldogs (7-4)

The 2022 college football betting action goes on with Week 13 matchups, so we are taking a closer look at the Mountain West Conference showdown from Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, California, to get you the best Wyoming vs. Fresno State betting pick and odds.

Wyoming meets Fresno State for the second straight season, and the Bulldogs aim for their fourth consecutive victory over the Cowboys. Fresno State opens as a firm 15-point home fave with a total of 50.5 points.

The Wyoming Cowboys (7-4; 6-5 ATS; 5-2 conf.) suffered a tough 20-17 home loss to the Boise State Broncos in Week 12. Although they had a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter and a 17-13 lead at the start of the fourth, the Cowboys couldn’t hold on and put an end to their four-game winning streak. Now, Wyoming’s dream of playing in the MWC championship game is over, and the Cowboys can look to the future and the bowl season.

“I'm proud of the effort our guys played with and we made a lot of plays tonight, but they (Boise State) made one more play than what we did and we lost the game,” Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl said.  “We have an emerging football team.  We had guys out there tonight, like some of our defensive tackles, who hadn't pl ayed a lot this year but because of injured players we called on those guys and they played their hearts out.  It is a gut punch, but we'll bounce back.  This football team has to hang together and move forward and get ready to play Fresno State.

Junior running back Titus Swen went off for 212 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries against Boise State. Sophomore QB Jayden Clemons had a rough day in the office, tossing for three interceptions and completing just three of his 16 passing attempts for a paltry 30 yards. Junior signal-caller Andrew Peasley, who’s thrown for 1,284 yards, nine touchdowns, and six interceptions so far this season, sat out Week 12 due to an injury and is questionable to play against Fresno State.

The Cowboys are scoring 22.6 points per game (102nd in the nation) on 129.9 passing yards (125th) and 196.9 rushing yards (29th). Wyoming leans on its stout defense, surrendering 22.8 points per contest (tied-39th) on 223.1 passing yards (69th) and 152.7 rushing yards (72nd).
