Wright State at Cleveland State Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/17/23

The Wright State Raiders will make the three-hour trip north to take on the Cleveland State Vikings in Horizon League play from the Wolstein Center on ESPNU. Wright State holds a slim all-time series lead of, 36-34, but Cleveland State has won three of the last four meetings. 

Wright State is 16-11 after beating Northern Kentucky in Dayton. The Raiders used a big second half to pull away from the Norse, and handed them an 18-point loss, 83-65. Wright State is scoring 81.4 points per game, while allowing 73.3 ppg and shooting 50.1% from the field. 

Wright State has responded to a four-game skid, and won four of their last five games to jump back above .500. The Raiders are 9-7 in Horizon League play, with a 6-4 road record. Trey Calvin has been the driving force behind production this season. The senior guard exploded for 44 points in the win over YSU, and he went for a team-gift 23 points last time out against NKU to bring his total to a team-lead 20.1 ppg. Brandon Noel is one of the best rebounders in the conference at 8.7 rpg, while scoring 12.9 ppg.
