The UT Arlington Mavericks (2-0; 1-0-0 ATS) will try to make it three straight when they take on the New Mexico Lobos (1-1; 1-1-0 ATS). It'll be the Mavericks' first road test, while the Lobos should be happy to return home. The Pit has been kind to them, and at 9:00 p.m. EDT, it has another chance to make an impression. Thursday's game will be a nice test for each program. How will things unfold?

A 31-point decimation of UT Tyler gave UT Arlington a pair of wins to open their season. Shifting to the road for the first time, their rough 41.7% shooting against weak foes will be tested. Luckily, a 37.7% clip from three-point range and 73.3% success at the free throw line led to at least 75 points in both of their wins. DaJuan Gordon is one of three Mavericks averaging double-digits. So far, UT Arlington has lived by the three and 37 offensive rebounds. Is it sustainable?

Defensively, the Mavericks held their first two foes to 37.9% shooting. Doing that again will go a long way in this game. Another area that UT Arlington needs to continue dominating is rebounding. They are +36 after only two games. This group has also benefited from opponents only shooting 62.2% at the charity stripe. Shoring up a three-point defense that allowed 52 attempts and a 34.6% success rate is what they need to focus o n next.
