The UNC Wilmington Seahawks take the trip up the east coast as they travel to face the Drexel Dragons Thursday night. UNC Wilmington knocked off Northeastern 71-59 at home in their previous game Saturday, covering the line as a 7.5-point favorite. Drexel was dropped 66-52 on the road by Hofstra Monday night in their previous game, failing to cover the line as a nine-point underdog. In the all-time series between the programs, the Seahawks own a 23-15 advantage and have taken the last two matchups. That includes a 69-63 road win in the most recent matchup on February 24, 2022.

UNC Wilmington bounced back from a pasting by Charleston as they took down Northeastern at home Saturday for their fifth win in the last six games. The Seahawks improved to 20-7 overall and stand third in the CAA with a 10-4 record, leaving them 2.5 games behind Charleston and Hofstra for the top spot. Against Northeastern, UNC Wilmington led by just two with nine minutes to play in the first half before closing the half on a 15-4 run to take a 33-20 edge at intermission. The Seahawks didn’t let the Huskies get closer than six the rest of the way en route to the win. UNC Wilmington shot 45.5% from the field, including three of seven from three-point range, and knocked down 28 of 36 free throw attempts in the game. Trazarien White led the Seahawks with 23 points and seven rebounds in the win.

The Seahawks are below average this season offensively, putting up an average of 69.1 points per game on the year, putting them 244th in the nation in scoring offense. UNC Wilmington collects 33.4 boards a night (269th) while handing out an average of 10.7 assists (340th) per contest. The Seahawks are above average on the defensive end of the floor, ranking 31st in the nation by allowing 63.4 points per game. UNC Wilmington are shooting a chilly 44.5% from the floor as a team on the year. The Seahawks drill an average of 6.1 triples a night while shooting 33.2% from beyond the arc. UNC Wilmington is slightly above average at the charity stripe this season as they are converting 72.6% of their attempts entering this contest.
