UCLA vs. Oregon Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-22-2022

The #9 UCLA Bruins (6-0, 4-2 ATS, 5-1 O/U) meet with the #10 Oregon Ducks (5-1, 4-2 ATS, 4-2 O/U)  in a Pac-12 showdown on Saturday afternoon. The Bruins remained undefeated with a home win against #11 Utah last week. The Ducks keep their winning streak intact with a road win against Arizona. Oregon collected a 34-30 road win against UCLA last season.

The UCLA Bruins remain perfect thanks to the consistent offensive production. They had no problem defeating foes in non-conference play with the exception of a narrow 32-31 home win against South Alabama. UCLA has looked dominant in Pac-12 action, beating Colorado, #15 Washington, and last week the Bruins were 3.5 point home dogs in a 42-32 victory against Utah to improve to 3-0 in conference play. They have covered the spread in three consecutive games.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson is having a great season. The senior QB has accrued at least 230 passing yards in four straight games including 315 yards in the victory against Washington. Thompson-Robinson now has 1510 passing yards complemented by a dazzling 15:2 TD to INT ratio.

Zach Charbonnet is the best RB in the Pac-12. The senior has logged at least 100 yards in all but one game including a ridiculous 198 against Utah and now has 615 rushing yards on 7.1 yards per rush. The receiving core is led by Jake Bobo. The senior WR has 385 receiving yards. The Bruins' offense has registered at least 40 points in all but one performance this season. They have scored 45 points three times.

The UCLA defense is a strength as well. They have allowed 32 points in back-to-back games but were up against two strong offensive teams in Washington and Utah. The pass defense can be solved, ranking 87th while the rush defense marked 19th. UCLA climbed two spots to 9th in this week's AP Top 25. They are scoring an average of 41.5 points, landing them 12th. The defense is conceding an average of only 22.7 points, tabbing them 45th in the FBS.
