The UC Davis Aggies and Boston University Terriers face off on Monday in a college basketball showdown at the Klotsche Center. This is the first meeting played between the two teams in recent years. There has to be some concern about tired legs for both of these teams.
UC Davis headed into Sunday’s game against Southwest Missouri State with a 4-2 record overall and they have gone 3-2 against the spread. On Saturday UC Davis faced off against Milwaukee, and they were defeated by two points. The offense scored 85 points, but the defense gave up 87 points. UC Davis is averaging 80.3 points while their defense is giving up 72.5 points per game. Guard Elijah Pepper is having a strong season averaging 20.2 points while shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 41.4 percent from behind the three point line. In this game the Aggies are going to need the offense to be strong.
On the other side of this matchup is Boston University who headed into Sunday’s game against Milwaukee with a 4-2 record. On Saturday against Southeast Missouri State, the offense could only score 52 points, and that led to the 11 point defeat. Guard Jonas Harper had a strong game finishing with 15 points, two assists, and one rebound. Boston is averaging 73.8 points while their defense is giving up 64.3 points per game. Guard Walter Whyte is having a strong season averaging 13.8 points while shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the three point line.
