McNeese State at Tennessee-Martin – 11/28/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The McNeese State Cowboys and UT Martin Skyhawks face off on Monday in a college basketball showdown at the Elam Center. This is the first meeting played between the two teams in recent years.

McNeese State comes into this game with a 2-4 record and they have gone 3-2 against the spread. In the last game against Baylor the defense gave up 89 points and that led to the defeat. Two games ago against Lamar it was McNeese State that secured the 66-57 victory. McNeese State is averaging 70.5 points while their defense is giving up 73.5 points per game. The defense might not be as bad as the stats show, and that number should go down as the season goes on. Christian Shumate is averaging 12.2 points while shooting 56.6 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from behind the three point line.

On the other side of this matchup is Tennessee Martin who sits with a 3-4 record and they have gone 1-4 against the spread. In the last game against Arkansas State they were competitive, but they only scored 64 points and ended up losing by six points. Tennessee-Martin is averaging 80.3 points while their defense is giving up 72.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 61st and they are going to need to run up the score here. Guard KJ Simon has been the top player for UT Martin who is averaging 14.3 points while shooting 50 percent from the field.
