Twins vs Mariners Betting Trends

  • Minnesota is 6-2 straight up (SU) in its last eight games against Seattle.
  • Seattle is 6-0 SU in its last six home games played on a Tuesday.
  • The total has hit the Over in each of Minnesota's last six road games.
  • The total h as hit the Over in seven of Seattle's last nine home games.

Twins vs Mariners Prediction & Pick

The Twins are in the driver's seat after back-to-back wins, bringing their record to 7-2 SU in their last nine road games. Having said that, success in Seattle isn't anything new. The Twins are now 5-2 SU in their last seven trips to T-Mobile Park, keeping the Mariners to three or fewer runs on five of those occasions.

It'll also be tough for the Mariners to rebound if starting pitcher George Kirby doesn't pull himself together. The all-star arm was shelled for two homers and six runs on eight hits over f ive innings in his most recent start on July 15.

Minnesota's Pablo Lopez was also shaky in his previous outing, giving up seven earned runs over 5 2/3 innings. Having said that, he's also won two of his last three starts and hasn't lost a game in nearly one month (June 24). That's without even mentioning that he has a better ERA on the road (3.56) than he does at home (4.98) this season.

The Twins have been one of the hottest teams after the break and I see them continuing that momentum tonight. They'll be gunning to increase their AL Central lead and I don't see them being slowed down by the Mariners, who are struggling to score most nights.

Final Score Prediction:'Twins: 6 | Mariners: 3

Twins vs Mariners Best Bet

The Over on the 7.5-run total looks appealing. For starters, it's a number that the Twins and Mariners surpassed in each of the first three games, averaging 11.7 combined runs in those games. There's also a good chance at more offense after both Kirby and Lopez struggled in their previous outings.

If that isn't convincing enough, the Over is also 6-0 in Minnesota's previous six road games, as well as 7-2 in Seattle's last nine at home. All in all, it's shaping up to be an exciting afternoon in the Emerald City.
