The AAC is in the second half of conference play and have a matchup on Wednesday between the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (12-11, 3-8 AAC) and the South Florida Bulls (17-5, 10-1 AAC). Tulsa just dropped a home game to UAB, going down 70-63 as just 3.5-point underdogs. USF is coming off a road win, going into Rice and leaving with a 69-65 victory and just covered as 3.5-point road dogs. This is the first of two matchups between these teams this season, as they will meet again in the regular season finale. Last year USF won both games against Tulsa. Tulsa has taken a recent slide in the conference standings after losing three straight games. They got blown out at Florida Atlantic, then lost back to back home games against North Texas and UAB. Tulsa now sits at 3-8 in conference play, and are 10th in the 14 team conference. The AAC has been competitive this year, they are projected to get two teams into the NCAA Tournament according to Bracketology, but only have one team currently in the Top 25. In their last game, Tulsa was led by guard PJ Haggerty with 21 points and nine rebounds in the loss to UAB.

Haggerty is the 2nd leading scorer in the AAC with 19.8 PPG as a 6'3 freshman guard. Haggerty has a strong presence on the floor, as he also averages 4.9 RPG and 3.5 APG. He has stepped up his scoring in conference play, averaging 25.8 PPG over his last eight games. The top shooter on the team is 6'0 senior guard Cobe Williams, he has made 42 threes on the season on 32.1% shooting from deep, while adding 13.4 PPG. Williams had 21 points in their most recent win against Wichita State. Their top frontcourt player is Jared Garcia, he is a 6'8, 240-pound junior averaging 9.1 PPG and 6.0 RPG. Garcia can finish inside, but also stretch the floor  as he has made 28 threes on the season.

Tulsa is currently ranked 179th overall according to KenPom. They rank 244th in offensive efficiency and 129th in defensive efficiency. Tulsa plays fast offensively, they rank 33rd in the nation out of 362 Division I teams in tempo. They would have to win the AAC Tournament to get a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

Injury Report: Keaston Willis only played in two games this year and is out with a season ending foot injury after averaging 12.5 PPG.
