Stony Brook was held to 33 percent shooting in its last game versus Duquesne, as the Seawolves fell 85-63. The Dukes shot an impressive 50 percent from the field, including 13-for-28 from three, and boasted a plus-15 advantage in the rebounding department. Stony Brook only trailed by nine at halftime, but the Dukes exploded for 50 second-half points.

The Seawolves are transitioning from the America East to the CAA this season. They added transfer guards Dean Noll (12.0 PPG at Cornell) and Andre Snoddy (6.5 PPG and 5.0 RPG at Central Connecticut) this offseason in an effort to bulk up their roster. Returning guards Aaron Clarke, Tyler Stephenson-Moore, and Toby Onyekonwu are legitimate shooters, and 7-foot-1 center Keenan Fitzmorris is a load to handle in the paint.

Stony Brook scores 76.0 points per game (186th) and shoots 40.8 percent (283rd), including 38.4 percent from three-point range (72nd). It converts 64.0 percent of its free throws (274th) and averages 33.3 rebounds (224th) per game. The Seawolves' opponents average 75.0 points (252nd) and shoot 44.3 percent (246th), including 44.1 percent from deep (349th).
