Shedeur Sanders player props
There seems to be this belief that Colorado is going to pour it on in Week 3, especially after Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell took a shot at Deion Sanders in his interview with ESPN for College GameDay. The market has moved the Buffaloes to 24-point favorites, while the total has climbed above 60.
Rather than chase any late steam on the main markets, we prefer betting on a route through the prop markets. Specifically, I'm targeting the Over on 3.5 touchdown passes for Shedeur Sanders, who's the son of the Colorado coach.
This is the highest passing touchdown prop on the board in Week 3, but there's good reason for that status. Sanders has thrown six touchdown passes and no interceptions through two weeks. The Buffs even appeared motivated to make sure Sanders produced gaudy numbers when they kept keeping him in the game against Nebraska longer than needed.
Sanders tossed four touchdown passes against TCU during a 45-42 win in Week 1, so we know he's capable of hitting this number. Colorado State hasn't played since the opening weekend, but the team's passing defense is a concern after the Rams surrendered 451 yards and three scores to Washington State's Cameron Ward.
Colorado has struggled to run the ball through two weeks, but the squad has achieved a 58% success rate on passing downs, according to collegefootballdata.com. And Sanders currently ranks fourth in overall offensive grade among quarterbacks in the country, according to Pro Football Focus.
