Two Pacific Division rivals face off on Wednesday to restart the NHL season after the holiday break, when the Seattle Kraken (12-14-9, 33 points, 5th Pacific) pay a visit to the Calgary Flames (14-15-5, 33 points, 4th Pacific). Seattle defeated the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 last Saturday prior to the break for the holiday and has won two straight. Cavalry was defeated by the Los Angeles Kings 5-3 on Saturday prior to the break, snapping a three-game winning streak for the Flames. Seattle will play without LW Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, LW Andre Burkavsky, G Philipp Grubauer and LW Jaden Schwartz. Calvary will play without RE  Walker Duehr, D Oliver Kylington, LW Jakob Pelletier and C Kevin Rooney.
