Santa Clara at BYU – 2/16/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Santa Clara Broncos will travel to Provo to take on the BYU Cougars in WCC play from the Marriott Center on the CBSSN. BYU leads the all-time series, 32-8, but SCU has won the last two meetings.

Santa Clara improved to 19-8 after defeating LMU at home. The Broncos used a strong second half rally to get back into the game and knock the Lions off by two points, 71-69. Santa Clara is scoring 75.5 points per game, while allowing 72.6 ppg, and shooting 44.6% from the floor.

Santa Clara saved their season by responding to a three-game skid with three straight wins. The Broncos are 5-5 in WCC play, with a 11-4 home record. Sophomore guard Brandin Podziemski went for another 30-point performance in the win over LMU, and he’s leading SCU in scoring (19.4) and rebounding (8.0). Carlos Stewart scored 21 points in the first win over BYU, and he’s second on the team at 15.5 ppg. Fifth-year starter Keshawn Justice led the team with 23 points against the Cougs, and he’s averaging a career-best 13.3 ppg.
