The Pelicans left much to be desired in their loss to the Timberwolves. Not only did New Orleans trail by eight after the first quarter, but it was also outscored 30-13 in the final frame. That's not even mentioning how the Pelicans only shot 25% from three-point range while finishing with more fouls (31-23) and turnovers (31-20).
The Warriors weren't close to being perfect in defeat, but they at least only had a minus-six turnover margin. They also shot the ball 44.7% from the floor and 32.3% from the three-point line. While that isn't the b est efficiency, it's a bit more encouraging than New Orleans' numbers.
In what should be a back-and-forth game, I'm taking the Warriors to pull off the upset. Golden State was more efficient on the perimeter and was better at limiting giveaways. Until the Pelicans prove that they can make better decisions with the ball, they can't be trusted.

As I predict an upset, taking the Warriors at +2.5 on the spread makes the most sense for the best bet. Again, the Pelicans showed too many issues when it came to starting and ending the game to be trusted as the favorite. Although Golden State trailed for the majority of its loss, the team at least improved with each passing quarter.
Trust the Warriors to emerge victorious tonight.
