On Friday night, the Orlando Magic won just their 2nd road game of the season and 10th win overall with a shocking 117-109 win over the team with the NBA's best record, the Boston Celtics. Orlando withstood an opening salvo that saw Boston jump out to a 14-5 lead and the emotional return of Boston big man Robert Williams III to come away with a huge win. Moritz Wagner scored 25 and rookie Paolo Banchero chipped in with 20 points in the win. The win was the fifth straight for a Magic team that appears to be hitting its stride. The key to the win was on the glass as the Magic out-rebounded Boston 53-38 to help the team hold the lead over the final 37 minutes of play.

“One of the (Magic) coaches came up to me before the game and said, ‘We’re on the road against the best team in the NBA. Either we can prove that we’re a good team and really rolling or blame that we’re on the road and just roll over.’ We didn’t want to do that,” said Banchero, who shot 3 of 3 from 3-point range and 7 of 8 at the line. “To get a lead and keep a lead is the biggest thing I’m proud of about tonight.”

The Magic offense has come to life over the course of the team's current five-game winning streak. They are averaging 118 points per game on nearly 49% shooting and have hit an average of 11.5 3pt field goals per game. The defense has also stepped up as the team has recorded an average of 6.2 steals per game over this five-game stretch along with 4.6 blocks per game. The team has also brought in 47.4 rebounds per game over this stretch and all of this has been done without the team's leading rebounder and second leading scorer Wendell Carter II.

Key Injuries: Carter (foot) remains out while guards Jalen Suggs (ankle) and Garry Harris (hamstring) will likely be game-day decisions.
