A pair of ranked foes from the Big 12 take the floor in search of a victory down in the Lone Star State. The #25 Oklahoma Sooners are on the road as they travel to take on the #12 Baylor Bears Tuesday night. Oklahoma comes in off a 66-62 home win over Oklahoma State Saturday, though they failed to cover the line as an 11-point favorite in their previous contest. Baylor was upended 64-61 on the road by #4 Kansas in their previous game Saturday night, though they covered the line as a 5.5-point underdog. In the all-time series between the programs, the Sooners own a 44-23 advantage but the Bears have taken 10 of the last 11 meetings. That includes an 82-72 home win in the most recent matchup on February 8, 2023.

Oklahoma won their second straight and their third in the last four games as they held off Oklahoma State at home in their previous contest Saturday. The Sooners improved to 18-6 overall and stood sixth in the Big 12 with a 6-5 mark in conference play on the season. Against Oklahoma State, Oklahoma led by as many as seven in the opening half and led by five at intermission. The Sooners trailed by four with 5:42 to play before reeling off a 9-0 run to take a 61-56 lead with 2:25 to go. Oklahoma saw Oklahoma State get within one in the final minute but hung on for the victory. The Sooners shot 45.7% from the field, including nine of 23 from three-point range, and overcame missing nine of their 24 free throw attempts. Jalon Moore was the lone player in double figures for the Sooners with 15 points and eight rebounds in the win.

The Sooners have been stellar offensively this season, averaging 77.3 points per game on the year, putting them 91st in scoring offense. Oklahoma hauls down 36.9 rebounds per contest while handing out 14 assists per game on the season. The Sooners are solid on the defensive end of the floor as they give up an average of 66.1 points per game, putting them 40th in scoring defense. Otega Oweh is one of three Oklahoma players averaging in double figures as he puts up 12.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. Javian McCollum (14.2 points), John Hugley IV (8.4 points, 3.8 rebounds) and Jalon Moore (10.5 points, 6.1 rebounds) each are solid secondary scoring options. La’Tre Darthard, Milos Uzan, Rivaldo Soares, Kaden Cooper and Luke Norweather are other key pieces for coach Porter Moser. Oklahoma shoots 47.3% from the floor as a team this year, which is 50th in the nation. The Sooners knock down 7.4 three-pointers a game while sh ooting 34.4% from beyond the arc. Oklahoma has been above average at the line as they are converting 74.1% of their chances on the season, putting them 85th in the nation.
