The Colorado State Rams are on the road as they make the trip to take on the San Diego State Aztecs Tuesday night. Colorado State rolled past San Jose State 66-47 at home in their previous contest Friday night, covering the line as a 16-point favorite. San Diego State was downed 70-66 in overtime by Nevada on the road Friday night in their most recent game, failing to cover the line as a 2.5-point underdog. In the all-time series between the teams, the Aztecs own a 51-43 advantage but it was the Rams picking up a 79-71 home win in the first matchup this season on January 30.

Colorado State earned their fourth straight win as they took down San Jose State at home in their previous game Friday night. The Rams improved to 19-5 overall and stand tied for second in the Mountain with a 7-4 conference mark. Against San Jose State, Colorado State used a 13-0 run in the first half to turn a one-point deficit into a 22-10 lead with 7:33 to play in the first half. The Rams led by 19 at the half and didn’t let the Spartans closer than 10 en route to the victory. Colorado State shot 49% from the floor, including six of 17 from three-point range, and held San Jose State to 32.8% shooting in the contest. Rashaan Mbemba led the Rams with 13 points off the bench in the win.

The Rams enter this contest 63rd in the nation in scoring offense by putting up 79 points per game. Colorado State is collecting an average of 32.3 boards per game and hands out an average of 19.5 assists per contest. The Rams are above average defensively, coming in 133rd in scoring defense by allowing 68.6 points per game. Isaiah Stevens is one of four players in double figures this season for Colorado State with 16.3 points and 7.5 assists a night. Patrick Cartier (11.6 points), Joel Scott (11.9 points, 5.7 rebounds) and Nique Clifford (13.4 points, 7.1 boards) are each solid secondary options. Josiah Strong, Jalen Lake, Joe Palmer, Rashaan Mbemba, Kyan Evans and Javonte Johnson are key pieces in the rotation for Niko Medved.
