Minnesota, which had a chance at the No. 1 seed until losing to Phoenix in the final regular-season matchup, ended up securing the No. 3 seed instead. The Suns claimed sixth, which is good enough to avoid the play-in tournament.
Thanks to boasting the best defense in the NBA, the Timberwolves established themselves as one of the best surprise teams of the season. They will undoubtedly have their hands full trying to slow down a superstar trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.
