MLB value plays for Friday, June 23

Greg Peterson posts his daily handicapped MLB lines for every game every day. Based on his lines vs. the actual lines, here is where Peterson sees value on today's menu. Peterson also does a daily podcast, The Baseball Betting Show, on which he breaks down every game every day.

Twins (-145) vs. Tigers. Greg's Line Twins -166.

The Twins bring Kenta Maeda back off the injured list after posting a 2.02 ERA with 11.5 strikeouts per nine innings in his four rehab starts. Maeda faces the Tigers— the only lineup in the league in which no player has at least 10 home runs this season. They are 28th in runs per game. The Twins also back up Maeda, who will likely be on a tight pitch count, with a bullpen that is 10th in the league in bullpen ERA.

Mariners vs. Orioles (-115). Greg's Line: Mariners -106.

Mariners starter Logan Gilbert has pitched better than his 4.31 ERA, posting a fielding independent of 3.60 with 9.5 strikeouts to 1.8 walks per nine innings. He is backed up by a bullpen that is fourth in the league in ERA. Kyle Gibson gets the start for the Orioles, whose 0.7 home runs per nine innings is on pace to be the best mark of his career and should see regression.
