Brown vs McGee Prediction

Two desperate UFC fighters meet head-to-head on the preliminary card on Saturday afternoon. Matt Brown has lost six of his last nine fights and was last seen in a split decision loss to Bryan Barberena back in March of 2022. The 42-year-old will attempt to get back on track against a veteran in McGee.

McGee enters having also lost six of his last nine UFC fights. He was last seen inside the octagon last June when he suffered a KO/TKO loss at the hands of Jeremiah Wells. He had won back-to-back fights prior to that loss, though, which is a feat that Brown hasn't accomplished in over three years.

Someone is going to have their hand raised at the end of this fight, and I expect it to be McGee. He outshines Brown in both significant strikes landed per minute (4.68 vs 3.77) and average takedowns landed per 15 minutes (1.86 vs 1.71). That gives McGee an advantage when upright or on the ground.

Brown vs McGee Best Bet

Backing McGee at -225 moneyline odds is far too much of a risk to take here, but backing him to log a decision win at +100 odds has value. After all, each of McGee's last eight UFC victories has come via decision.

On th e other side, each of Brown's last two UFC losses has come via decision. Look for McGee to shake off the rust in the first round before taking over with consistent strikes against his opponent.
