After giving up 15 runs in the first two games of the series, the Astros did a good job at silencing the Mariners' bats last night. Now, it's up to Houston starting pitcher Brandon Bielak to continue the trend. The 27-year-old lefty had a few shaky starts in June but looked good in his last start on Tuesday, striking out four batters without allowing a run on two hits over seven innings in a 4-1 win over the Colorado Rockies.
Having said that, Logan Gilbert has also been strong on the mound for the Mariners. In his last four starts, the 2018 first-round draft pick is 2-1 with a 2.30 ERA, 19 strikeouts and six walks allowed over 27 1/3 innings.
