The Long Beach State Beach (1-1; 1-1 ATS) opened their 2023-24 campaign with a disappointing 78-73 defeat at Portland. Playing as 3-point road underdogs, the Beach shot just 36.2% from the field (8-for-29 from deep) and missed eight of their 23 attempts from the free-throw line.
