Lafayette at Holy Cross – 2/6/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Lafayette Leopards will head up to Worcester to face the Holy Cross Crusaders in Patriot League play from the Hart Center on the CBSSN. Holy Cross leads the all-time series, 40-33, but Lafayette has won the last two meetings.

Lafayette fell to 7-18 after losing to Lehigh. The Leopards trailed the Mountain Hawks at the break, and nearly rallied all the way back before falling by two points. Lafayette is scoring 60.5 points per game, while allowing 64.6 ppg, and shooting 40.2% from the field.

Lafayette had a solid start to the month of January, but after losing four of the last five games, they find themselves in the wrong half of the conference heading into the final month of the season. The Leopards are 5-7 in the Patriot League, with a 3-12 road record. Leo O’Boyle scored 15 points in the first meeting with HC, and he leads Lafayette in scoring (11.8). Freshman forward Josh Rivera (9.2 ppg, 4.7 rpg) has blossomed over the past two weeks, scoring 23 points or more in three games, with one of those being a 25-point double-double against conference leaders Colgate. CJ Fulton has been solid in the backcourt, posting a well-rounded line of 10.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg and a team-leading 4.9 apg.
