Bethune-Cookman at Texas Southern – 2/6/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats will head to Houston to face the Texas Southern Tigers in SWAC play from the H&PE Arena on ESPNU. Texas Southern leads the head-to-head series, 4-1, after winning in Daytona last season.

Bethune-Cookman moved to 9-14 after beating Prairie View A&M in the road. The Wildcats held on to a slim halftime lead, and defeated the Panthers by two points. BCU scores 68.2 points per game, while allowing 75.4 ppg, and shooting 42.2% from the field.

Bethune-Cookman has won their last three games, and they’ll look to connect four and win four games in a row for the first time this season. BCU is 5-5 in SWAC play, with a troubling 2-11 record on the road. Freshman guard Zion Harmon leads the Wildcats in scoring (14.3) after a pair of 20-point performances versus Alcorn and Jackson State. Senior guard Marcus Garrett has been the most consistent scorer, reaching 15 points or more in seven of the last ten games, and he’s averaging 14.1 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
