Indiana Pacers at Boston Celtics – 12/21/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Indiana Pacers and the Boston Celtics duke it out at the TD Garden on Wednesday night.

The Indiana Pacers have been in a real slump as they’ve lost eight of their last 11 games and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling just short to the Knicks in a 109-106 loss on Sunday. Aaron Nesmith led the team with 23 points and 10 rebounds, Buddy Hield added 23 points on nine of 16 shooting while Tyrese Haliburton tallied 15 points with 10 assists. As a team, the Pacers shot just 43 percent from the field and 13 of 38 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they started to pull out to a six-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, but they went ice-cold and scored just eight points in the final 5:18 to allow the Knicks to slip away in the end.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last five games and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling just short to the pesky Magic in a 95-92 loss on Sunday. Jaylen Brown led the team with 24 points, 14 rebounds and three steals, Marcus Smart added 15 points while Grant Williams chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Celtics shot a miserly 34 percent from the field and 12 of 47 from the 3-point line as they outscored the Magic by 30-18 to overcome an early 10-point deficit, only to come up short in the fourth quarter where they led with just 3:50 left on the clock before allowing the Magic to close the game on a 10-5 run to steal the game from them.
