The Edmonton Oilers are opening a three-game road trek on Thursday. Edmonton had the remarkable winning streak of 17 games which ended in a loss against the Golden Knights last week. They lost by a 4-0 score against the Kings on Saturday and rebounded with a solid 8-4 home win against an improved Red Wings squad on Tuesday. The Oilers are third in the division, five points out of second place.

Connor McDavid is enjoying a dominant month, issuing 10 points in his last four games. The 27-year-old star hasn’t been quite as productive as last season but remains one of the elite producers. He has recorded 77 points on the season. Leon Draisitl has collected five points this month. The 28-year-old center also has not been as solid as last season but could reach 100 points. He has 62 points on the year. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins ended a pointless streak of three games with three points on Tuesday night. The 30-year-old center has issued 47 points on the season.

The Oilers continue to give most of the starts in the net to Stuart Skinner. The 25-year-old goalie has been outstanding in the last month and now has a sharp 2.49 GAA and a .909 save % accompanied by a 24-11-1 record. Backup Calvin Pickard has a 2.42 GAA and a .912 save %. Edmonton is scoring an average of 3.4 goals, good for seventh. They are conceding an average of only 2.8 goals, placing them eighth.
