DraftKings hired the first chief responsible gaming officer in its history, the sports betting operator announced Monday.
Lori Kalani, who comes to DraftKings after being a partner at Cozen O'Connor law firm, earned the new position. Kalani will report directly to DraftKings CEO Jason Robins.
“Responsible gaming is one of our top priorities and it is a core part of our mission to build games that our customers can enjoy responsibly,” Robins said in a statement. “In this leadership role, Lori will further advance our responsible gaming initiatives and uphold our commitment to setting new industry standards.”
Kalani has a background in numerous industries, including gaming and social media. DraftKings is hopeful Kalani can “further cultivate DraftKings” dedication to best-in-class consumer safety and protection practices.”
