The Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls will take the court Thursday at the United Center. Tip-off from Chicago is at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Bulls are six-point spread favorites and the game total is 237 points.

Charlotte, 15-37 SU and 23-26-3 ATS, lost 124-115 to Milwaukee in its last game. The Hornets are 2-3 in their past five and 8-21 on the road this season.

Chicago, 23-27 SU and 25-23-2 ATS, lost 108-103 to the Clippers on Tuesday. The Bulls are 2-3 in their past five and 13-11 at home.

Chicago won the first game between these teams 106-88 on Nov. 5 and Charlotte won the most recent game 111-96 on Jan. 26.

Charlotte has the fourth-worst record in the NBA this season and the second-worst in the Eastern Conference. With star point guard LaMelo Ball in the lineup, at least the fans will be treated to a show when the Hornets take the floor.

On Tuesday, Charlotte and Milwaukee were tied at the half, but the Hornets couldn't hang with the Bucks in the second half, falling 124-115. Charlotte did hold its own on the glass and played solid team basketball (27 assists on 42 made field goals), but it wasn't enough to outlast the EC's second-best squad.

The Hornets score 112.3 points per game (25th) on 45.2 percent shooting (29th), including 32.4 percent from three (30th). They have the second-lowest adjusted offensive rating in the NBA, per Dunks and Threes, and the lowest effective field goal percentage (51.0%). Charlotte shoots 75.2 percent from the charity stripe (24th) and averages 45.3 rebounds (5th) with a minus-one rebounding margin.

Ball leads the Hornets, averaging 23.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game. Other players to watch are guard Terry Rozier (21.7 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 5.1 APG), guard Kelly Oubre Jr. (20.2 PPG and 5.1 RPG), and forward P.J. Washington (15.1 PPG and 4.6 RPG).

Charlotte surrenders 118.7 points per game (28th) on 48.0 percent shooting (25th), including 36.5 percent from three (21st). The Hornets are 26th in adjusted defensive rating, 6th in pace, and 7th in assist-per-turnover ratio.
