The Cal Bears are certainly having a season to forget in 2022-23. The team has just three wins overall and sits in 12th place in the Pac-12 heading into this matchup with a formidable USC team. With nine straight losses, the Bears will limp into the Pac-12 tournament with just five games left in the regular season. On Saturday, the Bears nearly ended their losing streak before falling 70-62 in overtime at home against Arizona State. Cal's defense did its job, holding Arizona State to 28% shooting in regulation play. Unfortunately, the Sun Devils hit 5-of-6 shots in overtime to pull away. Monty Bowser and Grant Newell led the Bears with 14 points each off of the Cal bench.
