After rolling through the 2022-23 season with the best regular season record in league history, the Bruins never had to face the current adversity they are dealing with amid a four-game losing streak. While certainly not cause for panic, the Bruins certainly hope a trip to Buffalo will end their skid. On Saturday at Minnesota, the Bruins fell to 0-2-2 in their last four games after a 3-2 loss in OT. David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie scored for the Bruins while goalie Linus Ullmark turned away 33 shots in the loss. It marks the first four-game losing streak since December of 2019.

Boston captain Brad Marchand said the Bruins made it too easy for Minnesota. “Will and compete is what it comes down to, he said. “Seems like we’re losing a lot of battles that we should be winning.”

The Bruins have not been as dynamic statistically as they were in 2022-23. The big gest hits have come on the offensive end. The Bruins are 18th in goals per game this season. They are just 20th in shots and 20th in shooting percentage. The Bruins have been effective on the power play, however, ranking 7th in the league thus far. Defensively, the Bruins fifth in goals allowed, first in save percentage and 14th in shots allowed. They are third in penalty killing this year after finishing at the top of the league last year.

Key Injuries: D's Matt Grzelcyk and Derek Forbort are out.
