NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Jimmy Butler, Heat 23.5 Points (-105) DK
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is averaging 21.9 points per game on 50.6% shooting from the field but has only cleared this mark in 15 of 42 games (36%) on the season.
However, Butler has now scored 20+ points in each of his last 7 games without Tyler Herro on the court including 37 and 26 points in the last two games.
The Dallas Mavericks are allowing the 4th most points to opposing small forwards during the last 30 days and Butler will have the best matchup on the court throughout the game.
Butler has yet to face Dallas this season but did score 35 in his last game against them in 2022-23. The spread tonight is only -4.5 tonight and Miami needs every possible win for playoff seeding. Look for Butler to get the necessary minutes to eclipse this total against a vulnerable opponent.
NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Nic Claxton, Nets 10.5 Rebounds (+100) DK
Brooklyn Nets center Nic Claxton is averaging 9.8 rebounds per game while only recording 11+ rebounds in 23 of 52 games for a 44% success rate on the season.
Claxton has been even worse recently where he’s fallen short of this mark in 9 of his last 10 games and 11 of his last 15 games.
He’s also fallen short of 11+ rebounds in 13 of 23 road games for a 57% success rate to the under. The Deroit Pistons rank 11th overall in rebounds allowed with only 42.8 per game as Jalen Duren has improved on the boards.
Claxton is 1-2 against this number against Detroit with 11 and 7 rebounds this season and Duren grabbed 15 rebounds in his lone game against Brooklyn.
Claxton has gone soft on the glass as the season has progressed and I’m riding the under trend tonight.
