NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Thunder 30.5 Points (-135) DK
Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.2 points per game on 54.8% shooting from the field while scoring 31+ points in 41 of 59 games for a 69% success rate. He’s also cleared this mark in a staggering 16 of his last 20 games.
The Los Angeles Lakers allow the 9th most points per game to opposing point guards and SGA has eclipsed this number in 2 of 3 games against them with 24, 34 and 33 points.
Gilgeous-Alexander landed on 24 points due to shooting 1-6 from beyond the arc while only recording 5 free throw attempts.
This is the second leg of a back-to back but that shouldn’t be a concern as SGA is 7-10 this season in that scenario. The spread is nearly a pick’em and the total is set high at 238.5 so SGA should see full minutes in a high scoring affair.
The Thunder just reached the #1 seed in the Western Conference which would give them homecourt advantage until the Finals and they won’t want to let go of that. Watch them ride their superstar in SGA tonight, pushing him up and over 30.5 points.
NBA Player Props Predictions 2: John Collins, Jazz 10.5 Rebounds (-115) DK
Utah Jazz center John Collins is only averaging 8.4 rebounds per game on the season while only recording 11+ rebounds in 15 of 57 games for a 26% success rate.
However, Collins is averaging 10.4 rebounds on 19 rebound chances per game in five games since the All-Star break.
Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler have both been ruled out for this contest and Collins has recorded 23 an 18 rebound chances in the last two games without them.
The Washington Wizards allow the MOST rebounds per game (49.4/game) and MOST rebounds to opposing centers (18.34/game).
Since the break, the Wiz are playing at the FASTEST pace in the NBA while allowing over 50 rebounds per game. Recently The Wizards have allowed 10 rebounds to Mason Plumlee, 15 to Anthony Davis, 12 to Jarrett Allen and 10 to Chet Holmgren.
The spread is only 6 with a total set high at 240.5 so Collins should see full minutes in a high scoring game. The Jazz will need Collins minutes regardless without Markkanen and Kessler, so this sets up nicely for 11+ rebounds.
