Astros vs Angels Betting Trends

  • Houston is 6-2 straight up (SU) in its last eight road games.
  • The Angels are 2-5 SU In their last seven home games.
  • The total has hit the Over in four of Houston's last six games as the favorite.
  • The total has hit the Over in four of the Angels' last five games against Houston.

Astros vs Angels Prediction & Pick

While the Astros came up short yesterday, they're solid a solid 6-3 SU against the Angels this year. Having said that, starting pitcher Cristian Javier must be better than he has been. Although Houston has won his last three starts, Javier didn't exactly do much to help his club, giving up 18 runs on 21 hits over 10 2/3 innings – good for a 15.19 ERA.

At the same time, it'll be interesting to see what Tyler Anderson does on the mound. Unlike the Astros and Javier, the Angels have lost each of Anderson's previous three appearances. Having said that, he's still pitched well in defeat, p laying to a 3.52 ERA across 15 1/3 innings.

Taking yesterday's blown lead combined with Javier's recent poor play into account, I don't see the Astros winning.

Final Score Prediction:'Angels: 8 | Astros: 5

Astros vs Angels Best Bet

After the Astros and Angels combined for an average of 18.5 runs in the first two games, I'm taking the Over on the 10-run total. It also helps that the Over is 4-2 in Houston's last six games as the favorite, as well as 6-1 in Los Angel es' previous seven overall.

With the rivals also desperately needing to make up ground in the AL West, I expect the Astros and Angels to step things up, resulting in the Over being hit.
