Get ready for an exciting Friday night showdown as we present our Army vs. UTSA prediction, guided by the most reliable college football odds.
In the previous season, UTSA's quarterback, Frank Harris, and the Roadrunners' offense displayed explosiveness, scoring over 30 points in nearly every game, except for two. However, this season, they are averaging only 17 points per game after the first two weeks.
Meanwhile, the Black Knights suffered a 17-13 Week 1 defeat against Louisiana-Monroe, before dominating Delaware State 57-0 last week. They managed just 279 total offensive yards and turned the ball over five times in their loss to the Warhawks.

Army vs. UTSA prediction: Week 3
If Harris plays, this is an easy four, maybe even five-star bet. Harris is an explosive player who can absolutely light up the scoreboard, and he would have a favorable matchup Friday night. If Harris can't play, then this becomes trickier.
Despite the short week, we believe Harris will start. He managed to finish Saturday's game against the Texas State Bobcats, and even though he has one less day to rest, he should play at least a half against the Black Knights.
However, even if Harris isn't under center, the Roadrunners should cover this spread because the Black Knights simply aren't good. While Knights QB Bryson Daily accounted for five touchdowns last week, against a competent team, he didn't score once, and threw two interceptions.
The Roadrunners' defense is phenomenal this season, and should continue to pad their stats Friday. The only reason we're not playing this Under is because if Harris does play, then the Roadrunners could top 44.5 by themselves. If he doesn't, then it's a good idea to parlay the Roadrunners against the spread and the Under because the Black Knights' offense is way over its head.

Because of Harris' status, there's some discrepancy between our best sports betting apps. FanDuel doesn't think it matters if Harris plays, because it's offering -9.5 at the moment. Caesars, BetMGM, and bet365 each offer -8.5 at -110, so betting at any of those books makes sense.
Get in early, however. If it's announced that Harris is playing, this will jump to 12.5 or 13. If he's ruled out, we still think the Roadrunners cover.

The Roadrunners opened as 11.5-point favorites, but because of Harris' injury, the number dropped a full field goal at some of our best sports betting sites. Where this line moves throughout the rest of the week depends entirely on whether Harris plays or not.
As for the total, it opened at 44.5, and it hasn't moved. Again, it seems this number will move based on whether or not Harris plays. If you really want to play the total, get in on the Under now. If Harris is ruled out, then this could drop under 40. If he plays, the Under could still hit at this number because of the Black Knights' offense.
