The Coyotes are having a rough season despite their offense stepping up and scoring 3.33 goals per game with 10 goals in the last two games. Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz have scored 11 goals and 18 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Matias Maccelli, Logan Cooley, and Lawson Crouse have combined for nine goals and 22 assists while defensemen Sean Durzi and J.J. Moser have combined for seven goals and 12 assists to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.07 goals per game. While Durzi and Moser have combined for 2.2 defensive point shares and 48 blocked shots, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. The bright spot has been the play of goaltender Karel Vejmelka who has a .906 save percentage and a 3.08 goals-against average on 287 shots w ith 0.8 goals saved above average.
