The South Carolina Gamecocks, out of the SEC, will travel up the coast to Washington D.C. to take on George Washington University, out of the Atlantic 10. South Carolina is 3-3 on the season after losing all three of their games at the Charleston Classic during Thanksgiving week. They bounced back with a win over USC Upstate at home on Friday. George Washington sits at 4-2 and coming off a home win over New Hampshire on Saturday. The opening tap is scheduled for 9:00pm EST.

Needing a win after a three straight losses in the Charleston Classic, the Gamecocks bounced back at home with a win over USC Upstate, 68-53 on Friday. South Carolina was led by freshman Gregory Jackson II, who had 22 points in the game. The 22 points were a season-high for Jackson after previously scoring 20 in a loss to Colorado State. Teammate Hayden Brown just missed a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds against USC Upstate. Jacobi Wright rounded out the Gamecocks' double-digit scorers with 10 points. The Gamecocks were very efficient in the game, shooting 48% from the floor and committing only eight turnovers in the win.
