The Philadelphia Phillies have had four winners of the National League Rookie of the Year Award, most recently Ryan Howard in 2005. The team's best and probably only chance for a fifth in 2023 was right-handed pitcher Andrew Painter, but his season is now in jeopardy due to injury. Caesars Sportsbook still lists the 19-year-old as a +1000 fifth-favorite.
