Zach Wilson projections 2022: Fantasy stats, betting odds, New York Jets player profile, season outlook, simulations

To call Zach Wilson's rookie season in New York a disaster might be an understatement. The former number two overall pick played in just 13 games, throwing nine touchdown passes, eleven interceptions, and averaging barely over 150 yards per game. If there was a bright spot for fantasy owners, it was the four rushing touchdowns he had. Nonetheless, it's easy to see why Jets fans generally don't have a ton of confidence in their starting QB at the moment.'

New York made some moves this offseason to hopefully jumpstart its offense. They added a first round receiver (Garrett Wilson) and second round running back (Breece Hall), not to mention overhauled their entire tight end unit (C.J. Uzomah, Tyler Conklin, Jeremy Ruckert). With holdovers Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, and Michael Carter, the cupboard is hardly empty around Wilson.'

It's reasonable to expect a notable step forward to the tune of 3,500+ yards and at least 20 touchdown passes. While he's miles away from being considered a solid fantasy football starting quarterback, it seems reasonable that Wilson could provide standalone value in spots this season. Even so, it's a risk to draft the Jets starter as the potential downside might not be worth the risk.
