Two foes from the American Athletic Conference meet Thursday as the Temple Owls host the Wichita State Shockers. Temple comes in with a record of 14-12 overall and 8-5 in the AAC while Wichita State is 13-12 overall and 6-7 in the conference. These two teams haven't met since 2021 when Wichita State prevailed 70-67. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.
Wichita State has been very middle of the pack in the AAC, as their 13-12 record, including 6-7 in the conference would indicate. They win, they lose one. They haven't had a two game winning or losing streak since early January. They are coming off a win last Sunday, beating SMU at home 91-89 in double overtime.
Wichita State is shooting the ball better than ever lately, but coming up with mixed results because it is turning the ball over so much.

The Shockers had to erase a 6 point deficit late in regulation to send it to overtime, and then they persevered for the win. The Shockers were on fire, as they drained 57% of their shots on the night. They also had a sizable rebounding advantage. Kenny Pohto did a lot of damage with 28 points and 8 rebounds, while Craig Porter scored 22 points with 6 assists and Jaykwon Walton added 20 points.
