The Western Michigan Broncos are heading to the Reed Green Coliseum on Saturday afternoon against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in non-conference action. The Broncos (8-15) are on a four-game losing streak after Tuesday’s 63-61 road loss to the Kent State Golden Flashes. The Golden Eagles (13-11) are coming off a 78-73 home win over the Old Dominion Monarchs on Wednesday.

The Broncos struggled a bit offensively as they were able to shoot 22-of-50 (44.0%) overall, 3-of-22 (13.6%) from beyond the arc and 17 attempts at the charity stripe. Sophomore center Javonte Brown led the way as in 22 minutes off the bench and he finished with 14 points, three rebounds and a block. The defense stepped up as Kent State had a team shooting split of 37.7/23.8/90.0 against Western Michigan.
