The Washington Capitals continue a road trip Monday night with a game in Raleigh, NC against the Carolina Hurricanes. Darcy Kuemper had one of his best games thus far this season against Nashville saving all 34 shots seen leading to the shutout victory.

The Carolina Hurricanes return home Monday night with five wins through their first eight games played following a one goal overtime win in Philadelphia. Antii Raanta struggled a bit in the net for Carolina posting a .897 save percentage after allowing three goals on 29 shots but posted an overtime shutout to secure the victory for his team.
