UTSA at UAB 11/5/22 – College Football Picks & Predictions

The UTSA Roadrunners go back on the road this week Birmingham, AL to take on the UAB Blazers. UTSA comes into this week 6-2 on the year riding a 5 game win streak following a four point victory against North Texas. Defensively UTSA had some issues against North Texas as the Mean Green compiled 347 total yards of offense including 325 through the air but UTSA forced one turnover and held the mean green to six points in the first half leading to the victory.

Offensively UTSA was dominant with nearly 500 yards of offense including 257 on the ground to score 31 points in the game following a 28 point second half. Frank Harris led the way for the UTSA offense completing 27 of 39 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns and ran the ball 16 times for 75 yards as well. Brenden Brady led 'all ball carriers in the game with 112 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries, while Joshua Cephus added a team high 88 yards and one touchdown on 11 catches.

The UAB Blazers go back home this week 4-4 on the year writing a 2 game skid after a 7 point loss to FAU. The UAB defense faltered against Florida Atlantic allowing 359 yards and 24 points leading to the loss. Offensively UAB moved the ball well with nearly 500 yards of offense but converted only 6 third downs and failed to score in the first and fourth quarters of the game.
