UNC Wilmington reeled off a fourth straight win as they knocked off North Texas in the title game of the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau title Sunday. The Seahawks improved to 5-2 on the season with the victory and look to keep rolling in the early part of the season. Against North Texas, UNC Wilmington trailed 5-0 early and by a 20-14 mark with 5:30 to play in the first half before closing the half on a 14-3 run to take a five-point lead at intermission. The game was tied at 38 with 6:50 to play before going on a 13-3 run that gave them a 51-41 advantage with 49 seconds remaining. UNC Wilmington did enough down the stretch to hang on for the victory. The Seahawks shot 39.1% from the field, including five of 17 from three-point range, and forced 17 North Texas turnovers to offset losing the rebounding battle 41-25 in the game. Jamarii Thomas led UNC Wilmington with 16 points in the victory.
