The Radford Highlanders will host the UNC Asheville Bulldogs in Big South play from the Dedmon Center on ESPNU. Asheville holds a slim all-time series lead of, 40-39, after winning the last two matchups.
Asheville improved to 20-7 after defeating Presbyterian in Clinton. The Bulldogs survived a scare from the five-win Blue Hose, and escaped South Carolina with a four-point victory, 76-72. Asheville is scoring 72.2 points per game, while allowing 64.9 ppg, and shooting 47.9% from the field.
UNC Asheville nailed down win number twenty last time out, and they’ll look to stay atop the conference with another victory here. UNCA is 12-2 in Big South play, with a 8-6 road record. Drew Pember leads the way for Asheville again this season. The senior forward scored 23 points in the win over Winthrop last week, and he leads the team in scoring (20.2) and rebounding (9.3). Fellow senior Tajion Jones compliments help well from the backcourt, and after going for a team-high 21 points in the win over PC, he’s up to 14.4 ppg and 5.3 rpg.
