UMBC at Georgetown University – 11/26/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The UMBC Retrievers will make the -minute trip to DC to take on the Georgetown Hoyas from the Capital One Arena. Georgetown holds a 4-0 series lead after winning the three matchups since 2019.

UMBC is 3-3 after falling to UNC-Greensboro on the road. The Retrievers and Spartans played one down until the wire, but UNCG pulled away late to claim the victory. UMBC is scoring 74.0 points per game, while shooting 43.1% from the field, and 36.5% from three.

UMBC has been powered by its backcourt this far. Colton Lawrence dropped a season-high 21 at points in the loss to UNCG, and he’s leading UMBC with 15.7 ppg. Matteo Picarelli has caught first fire over the last three games, hitting five threes in each of them to bring his season average to 13.7 ppg. Veteran forward Jarvis Doles transferred home from Albany to hold the middle down for the Retrievers, and he’s averaging 10.3 ppg and 5.5 rpg.
