UC San Diego vs. Eastern Michigan (EMU) Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-27-2022

Eastern Michigan has had a tough start to the season and they look to double their win total facing a UC San Diego team that only has two wins.

UC San Diego is only 2-4 but they are coming off a win, which was on the road. They put up a season high 75 points in their last game but scoring has been an issue early this season for a squad that is only averaging 64.7 ppg.

After winning their first game of the season Eastern Michigan has fallen off the cliff losing their last five games. They gave up over 100 points in their last game and their D has been the big issue in the losses since they are giving up an average of 85 ppg.

In their last game UC San Diego was on the road beating George Washington 75-70 where they outscored the Colonials by 16 points in the first half. For the game the Tritons shot a solid 51.9% from the floor, were hot from deep with a 3-pt FG% of 47.1%, and they held George Washington to 45.6% shooting. Only one UCSD player scored in double figures in the win in Bryce Pope, but he went big with 31 points on 11/16 shooting. The Tritons covered the spread as a 7.5-point underdog and they had failed to cover the spread in the previous two games.

Pope (19.2 ppg) is one of two players for UC San Diego that is averaging in double figures and he bounced back from his worst game of the season (7 points on 30% shooting) before going for a season high 31 points. 7’ C Emmanuel Tshimanga is averaging 10 ppg and 5.4 rpg and while he does have 16 rebounds over the last two gam es, he scored eight points in each and he did not have any blocks in the last game after five the previous one. Francis Nwaokorie (6.6 ppg 6 rpg) is the leading rebounder on the season and he has pulled down five boards in each of the last three games.
