Twins vs. Angels Prediction and Picks for 8/13/2022

After being the hunted for much of the season, the Minnesota Twins are now doing the hunting in the AL Central. They stayed hot on Cleveland's tracks by winning their series opener against the Los Angeles Angels and will hope to achieve that minimum result again tonight in Anaheim.

After dropping two games against the Dodgers in midweek action, Minnesota ended a three-game losing streak last night with a 4-0 win at Angel Stadium.

Trade acquisition Tyler Mahle, making his second start with the Twins, pitched six shutout innings to help lead the Twins over the Angels, while most of the heavy lifting on of fense was done by Gio Urshela (3 for 4, HR, RBI, 2 R) and Gilberto Celestino, who hit a two-run homer in the second inning.

Tonight, Minnesota will look to get another strong effort on the mound, this time from someone who will be pretty familiar with a number of the hitters he will be facing.
