Tuley's Takes: Wild Card Weekend

Wild Card Weekend picks from a “dog or pass” point of view”

It’s playoff time here in the Tuley’s Takes home office and everywhere else, as we have six games on Super Wild Card Weekend

We’re now in the fourth year of the current playoff setup with three wild-card teams in each conference and thus two playoff games on Saturday (just like we’ve had since we were kids) but then three games for wall-to-wall football on Sunday and a Monday night game to wrap up the round and set up the divisional playoffs next weekend (with four conference semifinals).

We ended the regular season on a down note as we had a goose egg with our “quote-unquote” Best Bets as we went 0-3 ATS with the Ravens +4, Vikings +3.5 and Bears +3, though the silver lining is we had half as many bets as a usual NFL weekend card because of all the quirkiness of Week 18.

We also hit with our lone 2-team, 6-point teaser play on the Colts +7.5 in a 23-19 loss vs. the Texans and Cardinals +8.5 in a 21-20 loss vs. the Seahawks. Besides, I was mostly living vicariously while reporting on the final day of Circa Survivor and Circa Sports Million on Sunday for VSiN.
